  • This year we will continue using the Sophia Institute's A Family of Faith curriculum for Grades K-5.

This curriculum supports whole family faith formation. Parents can grow their faith right along with their children through family activities and discussion. All K-5th grade siblings will be able to share what they are learning as a family since they will be learning the same information but at their own levels.

Five Reasons why our Diocese Recommends this Program

    Each month consists of:

    1. Grade Level Classes - Students* will meet weekly on Wednesday nights with their catechists and complete lessons from the Family of Faith curriculum.
*2nd graders will not use this curriculum, they will do sacrament preparation lessons.

    2. Monthly Family Class - Once per month we will have a "family class" where an activity related to this month's lessons will be completed together. (2nd graders WILL participate in the family class as well.) At least one parent or caregiver is asked to attend with each child. See Calendar for Dates

    3. Parent Catechesis - If you'd like to learn more about the lessons in our curriculum please watch the below videos and read the Parent Essays below.

    4. At-Home Reinforcement - We highly encourage you to talk with your children about what they are learning in class. To aide in these discussions, you can print the below Fridge Page and Car Conversations hang tag. As always, there is no substitute for praying as a family and attending Mass as a family.
