We have provided families with Virtues in Practice program, created by the Dominican Sisters in Nashville, TN, as a teaching tool for the whole family to work at home to grow in virtue. Each month has a virtue to focus on and age-appropriate lessons for discussion.

Our focus for the 2021-2022 year is Year II: Year of Hope. We hope this program bring spiritual growth and fruit to your homes and families!

We are glad to expand our CGS program to offer three sessions in both Level 1 and Level 2 this year. CGS is a Montessori-based approach to faith formation that focuses on the essentials of the Catholic faith and developing a relationship with Christ as the Good Shepherd (level 1) and True Vine (level 2) with the Catechist and Holy Spirit to guide them.

St. Malachy's offers the option of receiving materials to be instructed at home by parents and/or in a family setting. DRE Kelley Grothus will provide guidance, resources, and more for families who choose this option. Unlike during the 2020-2021 year, Catechists will not provide at-home materials for homeschooling families. 

Families still register and pay for religious edcuation within the parish and will receive notifications for parish and family events and Sacraments that you are welcome and encouraged to particiapte in.
